Cookie Policy
LetEmily v12.65.4 • Last Updated: October 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LetEmily (operated by Bright Root Labs LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies to provide, improve, and protect our services.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and provide a better user experience.
We use cookies and similar technologies such as local storage and session storage to enhance your experience on LetEmily.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled.
- Authentication: Keep you logged in securely
- Security: Protect against fraud and abuse
- Session Management: Remember your actions during your visit
- Load Balancing: Distribute traffic across our servers
Functional Storage (Can Be Cleared)
These values remember choices you make in the app. They stay in your browser and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- Preferences: Remember your theme and similar settings
- User Interface: Store your dashboard tab, layout and list or card view
If you turn functional storage off in the cookie banner, we clear these values from your browser when you save that choice. The app may store one again when you next use the feature it belongs to, for example switching a list to card view, because that feature has to remember the choice you just made.
Analytics Cookies (Requires Consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how LetEmily is used. It is not loaded at all until you accept analytics cookies, and advertising features are switched off.
- Usage Tracking: Which pages and features are used. Page addresses are cleaned first, so record identifiers and sign-in links are not sent
- Feature Adoption: Measure how new features are being used
Signup attribution: If you accept analytics cookies, LetEmily may temporarily preserve an allowlisted source, medium and campaign during the signup journey. When signup succeeds, a limited first-party attribution record may be stored with your LetEmily account for up to 13 months. It excludes full referring URLs, arbitrary query strings and advertising click identifiers.
Marketing Cookies (Requires Consent)
We do not currently set any marketing cookies. The cookie banner records your choice so that, if we ever add them, they stay off unless you have said yes.
3. Specific Cookies & Storage

| letemily-landing-location | Analytics | Session storage, written only after you accept analytics cookies: the first page of this visit (record identifiers and sign-in links removed, only campaign tags kept from its address) and the referring site, so Google Analytics and signup attribution credit the right source. Deleted when you withdraw analytics consent | Until you close the tab |
| _ga_<ID> | Analytics | Google Analytics 4: keeps track of the current visit. Set only after you accept analytics cookies | 13 months |
4. Third-Party Cookies
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies:
- Stripe: Payment processing (essential for billing)
- OpenAI: AI-powered features (no cookies set, API-only)
- Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot protection on the sign-up and demo-request forms only (strictly necessary). It runs in a Cloudflare frame and is used solely to tell people from bots, not for advertising or tracking. We do not use its pre-clearance mode, so it sets no cookie on letemily.com
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): Usage analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies. It sets the
_gaand_ga_<ID>cookies listed above - Zoom/Google/Microsoft: Calendar and meeting integrations (when connected)
We do not allow third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels on LetEmily.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have full control over which cookies you accept:
- Cookie Banner: Make your choice in the cookie consent banner when you first visit
- Changing your choice: Select (here, at the bottom of any public page, or under Settings → Privacy & Data in the app) and the banner reopens with your current choices. What you save applies straight away in this browser
- Withdrawing analytics consent: Google Analytics stops collecting straight away, its
_gacookies are deleted from your browser, and it is not loaded on later visits. Withdrawing analytics consent stops Google Analytics and future attribution collection. If you are signed in, LetEmily also deletes the user-linked signup attribution record associated with your account - Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings
Note: Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using LetEmily's core features.
6. Cookie Retention
- Session Cookies: Deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent Cookies: Stored for the duration specified (up to 13 months)
- Consent Refresh: We'll ask for consent renewal every 13 months
7. Children's Privacy
LetEmily is not intended for users under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and we do not use cookies to target children.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
9. More Information
